Tech Tip #3: Installing The Cooler Mounting Kit

November 19, 2012

This is the third episode of our Tech Tips series! Our Tech Tips will feature many of our products and offer advice on installation and maintenance.

When out on the water, the last thing you need to worry about is your heavy cooler full of cold refreshments sliding around uncontrollably on the deck because it is not properly secured. A cooler that is not correctly secured is a huge liability for boat owners, they can cause personal injury as well as damage to the boat itself. Having a cooler mounting kit installed on your boat will ensure your boat and all of its occupants remain safe and having fun under all operating conditions.

The T-H Marine Cooler Mounting Kit includes four corner brackets and two hold down straps to completely secure your cooler and its contents while on board. This kit will prevent the cooler from moving around on the deck and causing personal injury or damage to the boat. The molded, UV-resistant corner brackets have interior screw mounting holes to allow a flush mount against surfaces and to take up less deck space. The nylon bungee straps feature molded hooks and a stainless steel center hook for totally corrosion-proof mounting. Fits virtually all sizes and makes of coolers including Igloo. Straps provide secure mounting and are easy to disconnect.

Corner brackets are available separately for OEM mounting applications and replacements.

Cooler mounting hold down straps, including stainless cooler hooks are available separately.
